Nijo Castle
Nijojo, the castle located in front of our hotel, was built in 1603 as a headquarters for Shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa. For the duration of the Tokugawa Shogunate, the castle was the site of many important historical events. Today, the vast grounds of the castle have been designated a place of historical interest, and many visitors come to see and learn about the prosperity of the Shogunate
